hi guys i like to konw what u thing of this wing. it call PIPE DREAM II . this was design bye Bill Winter the wing span was 41 inches. i resized it to 32 inches. i have a eflite 400 on it with a 9x5 prop. i have a electrifly 1500
11.1v batt.

It looks quite a bit different in the nose section from the original, besides the central servos and linkage which is supposed to be inside the fuse.

I like it, how well does it fly? etc?

is that a KF airfoil? i too would like to know how it flies.

I am building a 120 cm span (47").

I totally redrew the plans over and scaled it up from 106cm (original).

I am cutting my pieces with my cnc router.

Everything is going to be according to plan, airfoil, folding propeller etc.

she flys very fast and turn on a dime. i know it a little different but ie was for ease of install.

That is good, those are the traits that the author already described. Good to know that the results are repeatable. Is it stable with no dihedral?
I am gonna use it as a slope-thermal-power glider hybrid plane, so I will use some dihedral.

yes it is very stable with no dihedral and with the kf airfoil. im very happy it it. that sounds great good luck with it.

Construction continues, I am 80% done on the fuse, then I will start cutting the foam core.

For motor I was tempted to cut the firewall in order to mount a 1000kv 150gram outrunner, which is great for a 11x8 prop. at 32 amps on 3s, and if I wanted decent speed I would put a 10x10 and have 90MPH pitch speed and some 80oz static thrust (on a 33 oz plane ). Instead I looked in the old stuff bin and found a speed400 with a in-line mp-jet 3.33/1 gearbox which will be fine on the 11x8 folder but at less then half the power of the aforementioned brushless. In fact the amps on 3 s should be like 16 and we know that the efficiency of the speed 400 is sad, so I am looking at 52-53% efficiency. Still I fly mostly on a slope that's 5 minutes from my house, and for speed I have a couple pylon racers. This will be a soft flyer, to fly with the local falcons and hawks. I am pretty sure with its slick design that It will go much faster with the motor off then with the motor on. I will video the maiden when all is done.

I will put just a little dihedral to make it more stable in thermals, at hight, when you can't really see the model, and it's just a speck in the sky.
I will round the nose perfectly, so it will look much more streamlined.

the wings came out nice what did u use to cut them out. she is looking good. i think i will have to make a nother one ha ha. but i think my wife will get mad if i start a nother plane and not finish the kitchen.

I understand your pain, wives will be wives... I got one also, I am 33, but been married for 9 years already, she helps me keep my feet on the ground.... when I am flying in my head.
For the cores, I cut the hot wire templates out of aircraft grade 3mm ply, and hot wired it. The first one didn't come out too well, and that's the left core, but it's still usable, filling with some light speckling, and the right one came out much better with almost no visible grooves.
I guess , like all things, if you practice they get better and better. I should have cut a third half wing, but had no staerofoam left.

Now I will be skinning with 1mm balsa e fiberglassing the center.
