Help!
Super Simple Seaplane???

Ok, to the best of my ability I've scoured this entire forum... Can anyone point me to a sea/float plane that is crazy easy and quick to build? I've built a slowboat and I liked it but I'm looking for something I can throw in the back of my pickup and take to the marina to fly from our slip after a day on the lake. Slow and simple is preferred, and something easily replicated so it can be sorta disposable. So... anybody got an idea? I'd hate to resort to designing something if someone's already covered this ground...

Probably the easiest to make and fly off water is the SnowBall ( a NutBall with floats ) .

Snowball on water pt1 (3 min 18 sec)

Perfect! I've seen that snowball but I thought those were skis not floats! Thanks a ton for the suggestion.

Judi Sea Jet might be easy enough for you.

Thanks guys for the input. My "snowball" (skiball when it's on water?) is ready. Perhaps a Judi Seajet in the future. I wonder if there is cause for a dedicated sea/float plane plan thread? What do ya'll think?

Haha I actually downloaded your plans for the 32" Judi Seajet last night! Build may not be as simple as the Snowball but I sure like the way it looks and flies. It's pouring rain here in TX, maybe a good day to start building one... Here's a pic of the Snowball in the meantime.

I knew you'd think twice if you saw it.

Between the Motor mount and the Dual Floats I suspect very little difference
in build time between your choices.

There is a water airplanes forum down the main list of rc groups forums.
Its in the Exotic and Special Interests forums.

Bob, I think you're right!

Balsaorcarbon, thanks!

Rusty - I looked at that forum, but I wonder if there would be a benefit to having a strictly "scratchbuilt foamies waterplanes" thread with plans... Idk, maybe it's just me. Thoughts?
