Eflite Power 25 1250kv motor, 10x10 prop and a 60amp esc. Gonna want to tape the underside of the wing and stab to beef it up.

I want a cheap set up. $60 for the motor is to much.

The Turnigy G25 is only 25$ at hobbyking, and have quite similar performance data. no 1250kv available though, but I would have gone for lower kv and a bigger prop...

There's a Power Up 25 (actually 2) at Heads Up RC in Florida: http://www.headsuprc.com/servlet/the...5-Speed/Detail

I suppose now you are going to say you don't like Florida...

the 25 series or equivalent will draw too much amperage for a 2200 20c battery. The batteries the op listed are only good for 44amps. I would suggest the power 10 or equivalent. Check out heads up rc, they are in flordia, $2 shipping. You can go with the power up 480 plus, or one of their emax motors.

But basically, you have to pay to play. You want the power, you have to pay for it.

What size prop with the 480+ motor? Is it in your T28?

A 480 will not give you unlimited vertical. It already comes with a 960kv 480 stock so adding a few KV makes little difference. I've flown it stock, with a Park 480, Power 10, Power 15 and 1250kv Power 25. The 15 is a good match with a 9x9 and the 25 with 10x10 is an over the top setup. Tickled the radar gun at 87 and heads upstairs with a quickness. Carbon tape tip to tip on the stab and a couple strips of packing tape on the wing or it'll be a one pull show.

Turnigy 3536-1100..they sell the mount on Ebay..it moves along pretty good, but will cut into your flight times.

a parkzone 480 is different from the eflite 480, which is different(and less powerful) than the power up 480. The power up 480 is just under the eflight power 15, at half the price. Again, he is going for cheap, and wants a setup that his batteries will handle, which is 44 amp constant.

No actually. I was kind of surprised that a 25 was recommended so early. I have a G10 from HK on it's way across the ocean for mine. I would think a 25 would be too much, if that's possible, especially considering all the other upgrading you'd have to do to accomodate it - ESC, Batt, and structural. The 10 is plug and play from what I understand, with the slight possibility of maybe needing a bigger ESC, depending on what prop you want to use.

You asked about hobbypartz...take a look at their Tacon Big Foot line of motors. They run along the same lines as the E-flites, Turnigy's, and Power Up's as far as having the 10, 25, 46, 60 size motors. Only problem with Hobbypartz is that they always seem to be out of stock.

Also, Stevens Aeromodel carries a line of motors up through the 25 size that look suspiciously like rebadged Turnigy's. Not that that is a bad thing, I have a couple of Turnigy's that perform very well. http://www.stevensaero.com/SA-Sport-p-1-c-317.html
