The Scimitar is more about wild aerobatics with the thrust vectoring system than about speed. And the versatility of a flying wing with landing gear/retracts. It offers a different flying experience than the Stryker, one that requires a bit more attention. The Boomerang is interesting - when power is applied w/thrust vectoring on, the sink rate drops to almost zero. It's as if the airplane is hovering at that point.

Not sure what's up with the availability date shown on the web. We don't expect them until mid-October or so.

Dave, do you know what the top speed is like on this plane? I know you said its not about speed but I'm just wondering.

I'm in! This thing is awesome!
With the 10x8 prop set up on a big 4S it going to have loads of thrust, I'm going to say it's capable of 100mph stock.

If the F-27Q development produced the UM-F-27Q, then the Scimitar development might, then, logically, produce......????

I, for one, certainly appreciate all of your hard work and effort in bringing us all of these cool rc devices to play with

I'm also very much looking forward to what else might be rolling out...

I think I've still got some space in the rafters somewhere...

Keep up the good work!

I have little use for landing gear. I just wonder IF it'll even be able to take off from grass with the trike gear and pusher prop. I need to be able to hand launch or use my bungee and belly land.

Control Horns

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...postcount=3136

I want to provide an answer to this control horn question for those who are curious. The Scimitar photo sample may not have had backplates on the control horns, but we changed the design and the tooling so that the production airplane WILL feature control horns with backplates.

Do the vertical stabs on the the bottom of the fuse serve a point? or are they just for aesthetics?

Never mind, I just saw a picture that shows the rudders run all the way under the fuse.

What does that on/off switch in the air cooling picture do?
