I haven't flown in ages been too busy 4 wheeling all over the country side.
This weekend just gone I was up in the high country driving on 2 meters of fresh snow, not a breath of wind or a cloud to speak of - wishing I took the funjet.

Where are we.

Hi guys, most of us have migrated back to the birth place of G'long RC flying. The old belmont common "GAGS " site. Take the river road to the boatramp and turn right just after the bridge. been some night flying from same locale as well.

Hi There, Yep, people there on Sunday mornings if the weather is ok. I have seen a good assortment of multi rotors, FPV, and fixed wings, and powered gliders. Was there this morning in the rainy but still conditions flying through rain on the camera! A good way to see if your prop is balanced. The rain droplets look like jelly ghosts at the gym haha!

Not sure if any of the old gang are still flying in Geelong or watching this thread so this may go completely unnoticed but anyway.

I haven't flown for ages. Today was such a nice day and I had nothing else to do so I got the funjet out and blasted through a few battery packs as if I had picked up exactly where I left the hobby some 3 years ago.

I am now living in Melbourne, part of the reason I haven't flown there just isn't anywhere to fly (safely). There are either too many god dam people or it's all just too close to houses, etc.

So I am thinking about heading up to Geelong tomorrow to visit some of the old locations we used to all fly at. If anyone is watching this thread and wants to meet up tomorrow let me know.

Cheers Brad

On the flight line

Hi Brad, yep been ages since we have seen you and that fun jet at the rec reserve. most of the old crew still fly on the eastern ovals most weekends and on the odd night. Some of the real keen ones throw a model to the air on a morning before work. Some of the old faces have gone onto other pursuits as well as flying . there is a group of newish faces amongst us now and quiet a few are into quadies, FPV and long range flying. Attached a few pics of a recent fine day at the pitch.

Oh Awesome stuff. I'll have to come and say hi next nice weekend.

In the end I actually went flying here:
https://www.google.com.au/maps/place...+Park+VIC+3340

After watching this:
FPV Hopetoun Park 12-1-14 (4 min 5 sec)

The water was all gone. Those dead trees made for some nice funjet racing pylons
