I'd have thought the 2700kv would be better than the 2100? They are a bit heavier than the Turnigy ones, and need a 10A esc.

These look ok, shaft comes out both ends though which seems odd.

Yesterday my Turnigy quad arrived.
  • Mounted receiver
  • Reversed two servo settings in transmitter
  • Zero adjusted stick input
  • Mounted props
  • Atached 950 mAh battery
  • Armed

Maiden flight was successful and very pleasant.

The Rx site is working but I ruined the Tx side of the FPV set, sloppy soldering caused a short circuit (my fault). I worked to fast and sloppy and that 's never a good idea with micro size electronics . Lesson learned the hard way....I'm waiting for a new Tx I ordered I guess I'm back to square one.....Oh well it's a hobby ;-)

Cheers

Is it possible to view what version of firmware loaded in the FC (KK2), from the LCD screen?

Mine shows the version on power up. But then I'm on V1.4, so I'm not sure if that was added later.

All kk2.0 board from firmware 1.1 show the firmware version at start up ...

But HK may put on the board their customozed firmware ... Mr KK has no control on it

For be sure ... update to 1.5 ... older firmware is not as good as latest one

Sorry I was not awake, KK2 board shows version 1.2 direct after power up.

New question.

Default was "Self level settings":
Gain 40
Limit 20
and it was hard (almost impossible) to take off, when self leveling was "ON".

Changed to :
Gain 20
Limit 10
and the bird flies great when Self leveling is "ON".

What adjustment settings is recommended and works good for a newbie?

Also wired the voltage alarm and connected a piezo buzzer. The buzzer was desoldered from a cheap voltage alarm board. I think its big and heavy 1,5gram.

Is there any tiny and light weight buzzers to buy.

I hate you...

I still can't get mine going. I got a new motor and new esc but now I'm 99% mine is vibes... I rotated the landing gear so that I could use the foam standoffs in the corners. And I was able to get about 1 minute flights until the right front motor this time would seem to cut out. Then after that it was just wobbly.

I've balanced the props and can still feel vibes and at certain RPMs it looks like the prop is fluttering (kinda like poor tracking in a heli)

If I hold the little quad I can feel vibes and the motors cut in and out, but if i grip the quad tightly, the motors get in sync and sound really good.

I noticed that one of my props had a pretty good nick in it, so I changed it out with a brand new balanced one... Now it is worse and I can't even get it off the ground...

This is killing me.

Ricky

maybe worth a shot - when I received mine, one of the motors was not moving smoothly and was intermittent because it was binding. Turned out the c-clip wasn't sitting properly on the shaft. Maybe try removing the clip, pulling the shaft out and refitting it.
