Nope, don't worry about it on the big birds. You have a 100" ws and a 20" prop on the Beast, never have a problem with it.

Well, now that you've had the Helldiver proven in flight, and waiting patiently for spring, whats the next project??? Or have you already started one and I missed it!!
Everyone will be truly impressed with the Diver at SEFF for sure. Brilliant work as per usual.

Thanks Doug.
To say I'm proud of the Helldiver is an understatement. Really pleased with that one.

Right now I'm still working on the EB-66C, Bat 21. Hope to have it in the air next spring too.

And this winter I'll be finishing the OV-10A Bronco, doing a detailed cockpit on it and converting it to 8s from 6s.

John, I hope you try to find one on your to-do list that Jerry has plans for. I'd really like to see how his other models stack up. Ever been interested in a Spartan Executive?

J
John, on your quick foamies do you put side and down thrust on the motor?

WM,
I do want to build another of Jerry's planes. Not sure which although if I could get the gear figured out and simplified I would build a BIG Buffalo in a heartbeat. Or maybe a Wildcat.
But the Executive doesn't trip my trigger. Very few civilian ones do.

Den,
Yes. I usually give the smaller foamies down and right thrust.

I hear you on civilian planes John. Either the buffalo or wildcat has some pretty whacky gear... something I know you are not a fan of.

John,

I know the WC gear is a pain but I hear the Robart version is pretty solid.
Robart is running a 12-1/2% discount this month on anything over 350. Would be able to get a set of F4F LG for about 690 - still pricey but a little less painful.

Yeah, I've looked at that Robart gear. It does look good. And their gear is robust. I think there is at least a 2-3 month lead time on it too. I'll have to give it some thought. I wish they had Buffalo gear, that would be my first choice, I just love the Buffs.
I have the plans and FG parts, canopies for a JU-88A, 116", Don Smith plans I think. Need to get to it sometime.
But everything is on hold until I get the EB-66C completed and painted.
