Oh crap, I only found the one sawtooth at big Bruce racing so I assumed it was the same as what voodoo used. I'll have to investigate and see if he still makes the other sizes. It seemed like a lot to me too....I figured the sawtooth design had lower amp draw and wasn't directly comparable.

Thanks for the information everyone!

I think Voodoo used the GM or AJ pylon props which are on SUSA's site.

The BB sawtooth I also understand it considerably better than the 10x23GM. Not much more current one up to speed and similar performance. I would look around but that's what I read.

Tried sending voodoo a pm but his inbox is full.

I found that he was using the 12x25 sawtooth for f5d and switching to a 14.5x15 rfm for hotlines action. Also posted a screen shot of the sawtooth. Approx 140 amps max on 4s, but settled to around 100 amps.

I'm just saying but I would just buy the edge130. Then you can run what ever you want!

10x23gm
12x25bb saw
14.5x14
Or even I suspect 16x17s. I think all the above on 5s!!!!

I've run my 1115-1.5d-5.2 on 5s with all but the saw and it's the same kv!

I'm just fooling around, so I am looking for something proven and reliable more than anything. I was hoping to stay with 4s if possible since everything that I have uses 4s or 8s. I have flown pylon planes in the 160 mph range, so anything in that ballpark would be nice. It's gotta sound gnarly too!

I usually fly a bunch of full throttle climbs and passes mixed with throttle off dives and passes to allow for some cooling. Not sure if that's f5d or hotliner style...at bit of a mix I guess.

I'm not in any rush to put my xplane together, and don't mind taking the time to save for the right equipment. Yuri built me a masterpiece and it deserves to be done right.

I suspect even on 4s 16x17slim would not disappoint!

Can you suggest a light setup with mid size prop? I mean no pylon but no 18" too, I want it easy to launch

What's the size of the package of the X-Plane?

Someone owns x-plane and Formula-HV too? what's the easiest to launch and the best for thermal soaring?

Thank you very much

If I remember right Jesse started with 4S and 15X16. Also made some videos.

Not an x plane but avionik f5d with a mega 16 F5D motor KPG 4.2:1 and 1500mah 6s turning a gm 11x22. It's very light ( under 1kg) it glides quite well with a camber mix It will also knock on the door of 180mph easy if you want. 3/4 throttle on launch hard throw and it's away without roll.
This for me ticks alot of boxes.

I have a 15x16s if you want to start with that. PM if interested.

On 4S the 16x17s is a beast for sure
