A 16/30/1.5S would be interesting on 4S with a 6x6 graupner speed ~1000W ~30k rpm, with headroom too push it harder than that too.
But I think this would be cool to try http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...53406&page=121 |

I orderd the 35mm spinner from Giant Cod about a year ago and received a silver spinner. But its way out of balance,I cant use it. Maybe the red spinners are better. I would like to try a red RCM Pelikan 35mm spinner, but I cant find them in any online store. /Anders |

jackosmeister,
Rimripper in Canada has been flying his Multiplex Fun Jet with MEGA 16/30/1.5SEC which has just 5% lower KV or so (due to "E" rotor) as compared to your mentioned 16/30/1.5S above. C means Combat shaft (5mm). He has been flying it on 4S and was looking to put on the Graupner CAM 6X6 among other props. Mean while he played with APC Pylon 6.5X5.5 and similar props and was Dopplered at about 147 MPH in level flight...no dives. He already has a 5S ready to go (has some static data), but first wants to see 150 MPH on 4S. ICE ESC has been logging his flights. His data can help you make a closer approximation for your needs. Your airframe is much more aerodynamic. Keep in mind that he is in much cooler climates than most folks. Tell him I said Hi and that you are a friend of mine...he'll help. Gryphon |

Fitted a Het 2w-25 (2720Kv) today with an APC 4.75x4.75. Getting 55 amps and over 800 watts on the meter so that should give some sprightly performance. Its sounded pretty evil spinning up in the garden! The motor came with a finned heatsink which I haven't fitted but maybe I should?

Id fit the heatsink, it wont harm it!
![]() Be interesting to see how fast a pylon prop pull the wasp. How hard have you tried to turn the wasp yet? Pulling 130mph turns in about 1m radius is one of the coolest things it can do ![]() Im still happy as pie with my 16/25/2.5S on 3S with 8x7+5's in the wasp, suits the wasp perfectly. Does around 120-130mph flat out, folding prop means its slippery in a glide, and I can get 6minutes of flying with lots of throttle, well over 10minutes if less throttle happy. |

I've done a few hard bank and yanks and it's turning capability is pretty scary but it's energy retention with power off is far beyond anything else I have. Initially I thought I had a problem and the plane was still on partial throttle as it whizzed by but it wasn't!
By the way, pitch speed should be up around 160 mph but whether it has the thrust to match remains to be seen! |

It works and works well". Based on my Dago (which was clocked at 120mph) and flying them back to back I would say the Wasp is doing over 130mph, maybe 140! It is definately quicker and by some margin but what I like most is that shriek of the prop at full whack Motor came down hot so time for some heatsink compound and refit the heatsink.
