The Segger J-link EDU is similarly reasonable and a bit more robust than a Discovery board
I guess that and a cable to interface to the FC board would be all you'd need?

STVD is only useful for STM8 projects, I think. The programmer part of it supports STM32 but I don't think the IDE does, without a lot of screwing around. You can also get away without Crossworks if your time is worthless and you want to get an environment going using Eclipse + CDT. In this case JLINK will be a better choice again as it comes with a functional GDBServer whereas if you use discovery boards you will have to screw around getting atollic gdbserver running and run into license issues with them.

It would be cool if "any" jtag dongle worked but not all support SWD - and this particular board only breaks out SWD interface and not full jtag.

Nice. And my board just landed in U.S. so I guess I'll get it faster than I thought

I´ve uploaded the new 1.22c firmware to the board. And it seems no working.
When I connect the board to the battery, only the blue led shines and the red one flashes.
On the other firmware when I switched on the board also the green led starts and it sound a beep.
The uploading finished ok.
But the ground station not connect to the board
Some one has made the same?

i dont think anyone else has tried 1.22c yet but TY for sacrificing your board for us all to learn from.

try uploading the firmware again and see if that fixes it

And I thought that I was saved the old firmware in a file, but no!!, my file is empty.
I think I have made everything ok because the kk naviboard is flashing with the same method. But....
If someone can find me the original firmware, I can test if it´s a problem from the firmware or mine

you should ask gbl the good software..and post it here

Because my quad floated away today, i left only with tricopter.
And since OpenSourcePilot do not support Tri (only Quad X and Quad +) - i guess, no other options, just to build another quad?
Any news about other types (Tri, hex) support?

might just be a different layout with a couple of steps that aint clear yet possibly firmware works fine it just new ground

Juergen , how did you get the stock firmware from?
is there a program to retrieve the current firmware on the FF board and save it ?
