New Product
E-flite L-13 Blanik 4.2m ARF

This looks nice

Cheers Chuck

E-fliteŽ is proud to add the 1/4-scale L-13 Blanik 4.2m to its family of sailplanes. This 1/4-scale replica of this internationally recognized sailplane comes with plenty of scale details including a hinged canopy and an authentic Red Bull trim scheme from the world-famous Flying Bulls. In addition, the foam wings not only provide strength, but also provide a more accurate representation of the full-scale airfoil. The fiberglass construction provides strength and rigidity to the fuselage, while features such as flaps and a spacious cockpit area for radio equipment make this plane easy to operate and maintain, and optional electric spoilers can be added. This great flying plane is ideal for sailplane and aerotow pilots as well as slope soarers.

Nice! The inclusion of flaps is a major plus in my book!

Suddenly the Blanik is the new cool kid on the block, what with Sebart also bringing one out ..

Two different color schemes? I see dark blue wings in one photo, silver in the other. Looks great either way.

Nope, only one scheme. Shadows and lighting playing tricks in the photo where they appear dark blue.

That looks fantastic! Though a bit much for me, LOL. Wouldn't mind seeing Parkzone release a new Radian sized plane, but scale. And with a power system so I don't have to do a tow or bungee launch.

Dave, what's the airfoil? We glider people need to know such things.

Sorry for the pedantry, but which ones? It makes a difference - some are better suited to thermalling, some better suited to aerobatics. I'd be interested to know which way you guys went with this one.

Thanks!

Absolootle! The exact foil makes all the difference between a "buy" or a "meh"...

Thanks for the vid Big Nuts. Not too bad at all. Always liked the looks of the Blanik, wasn't too crazy about the Red Bull decals though, now it's beginning to grow on me. Big question is how much?

Very smart looking, indeed. Might be a great combination with my 1/4 scale Hempel L4 with DA-50 tug.
