Hi guys,

I'm trying to put my quadcopter to fly but I'm having a major issue that i can't figure out...if i connect one of the esc to the CH 3 on the radio receiver, i can accelerate it....everything's fine....but when i put everything together, the only way to get power to the arduino is through the ftdi, if i just use the battery, nothing....dead :x

any thoughts on what it could be?

I got this, connected through ftdi....no receiver or esc's though...

SO, it look like it is reading the sensors.

Make sure there are no blades, since you are setting this up.

Did you try arming the board? Throttle stick down and to the right.

not quite because i can't get the arduino to power up using just the lipo...and i the wiring seems fine (i never put the blades at anytime btw )

Not sure about the V4 board. But I think there is a jumper or something at the bottom to make the board use separate BEC or use the power from esc.

see attached image, also some of your solder joints on your pro mini are not very good either.

Hi, I also have this board. You need to either solder the bridge that is top right in the above image, or use a separate supply. The bridge basically connects the +5v from your ESC to the supply for the main board. This is the way I have mine configured - without any noise problems.
