The thing is SUPER stable in 6 axis and nearly as stable in 3 axis save for the fact that it will tip and flip in 3 axis mode. |

Red lights are the easiest to see in daylight. I like to use red on the tail for orientation sake. Flying at night is a blast, too. Super fun. I'm expecting more lights soon, and I will then set my LB up with five lights instead of 3.
Nice review, Tom. Try more altitude, at first, when attempting flips. Best, Chris |

It almost looks like its cheaper for me to buy all the parts from you all and assemble it myself rather than getting another BNF. I love my first one but I kinda want to make my own LB with longer booms, and maybe some mqx motors. Just wanna try something crazy. ![]()

Thanks Chris. I'm glad I was able to do the review for it. I will try more altitude when attempting flips. I saw your videos of your Ladybird with the LED's. It looks awesome especially at night! Do you have a post on where to get the LED's and how you hook them up? Quote:

Hi Tom,
I made my own light set. I didn't use the tiny LEDs. Simple. A resistor to drop V to close to the LED's working range....doesn't have to be exact...the LEDs will outlive the craft...and some simple circuits to each LED. Only one trick. LEDs have polarity and WILL NOT work if wired backwards. It has to be EASY, if I can do it! regards, Bill |

The fine poster named Onceafly put together the LEDs for me. I used heatshrink tubing and attached that under the booms with CA glue.Just a tiny bit of CA in a few spots so I can pull it off if needed. As for plugging them, there are two free female plugs on the RX. They both carry direct power from the battery. Not sure what else these connections are supposed to be used for. These connections have three wires, by the way. I used compatible male Walkera plugs and I just cut one wire off after testing which two wires are + and -. That's all you need for the lights. You can plug 4 or more lights in parallel all with only one connector. I used one connector for the front, and one for the back but only one connector is really needed. Best, Chris |
