Feefo,
I dropped the ball.
Should have taken care of this many months ago.

There is an extra front shield (16/45 style) floating around between some friends here in USA, we can always send that to Terry. He could take his own measurements/make template.

PM Rimripper and/or Flame to see what they did on theirs......I can not remember if they enlarged Terry's mount's air passages or ran them without mod.

I'm in no rush for it ATM anyway. I just thought about it earlier and wondered if 1 was available. I'd prefer to have smallparts do a version, my dremel work won't be pretty.

Other option would be the Secraft version but it looks a little thin leading away from the mount holes.

If you could make a post/drop me a PM when Terry has 1 available that'd be cool.

this mount looks like it would be maximum cooling - thin in plan view but thick in thickness. look at the bottom screw mount and how it's recessed to see the thickness of the mount. i highly doubt that this part would break before the fuselage area that it bolts into.

Cheers Billy, that info is a great help.

Glad you're feeling well enough to make a post.

rcfisherman, hmmm, not sure. If I was planning on a low to medium power plant I might agreee, I'm just not sure about it at the power levels I'm thinking about. I'll see what smallparts comes up with and compare, no rush ATM.

the elapor fuselage will melt before the 6061 -t6 aircraft grade aluminum alloy motor mount even slightly distorts. that thing will handle 100 hp (70000watts) lol! if you crash 200mph into the side of a brick wall, it would probably survive. if you want cooling, go with the secraft mount.
