Flyzone Micro Nieuport 17

I'm looking to buy the Nieuport 17 and just before I buy it I want to know whether there are any mods that need to be made or that should be made.

Thanks

Mine flew nicely right out of the box.

All I did was add a few scale touches, paint the 'wood' parts, and install a really neat pilot figure made by a fellow RC Groups member.

Here's a closeup of the pilot before installation.

That looks great, when I get mine I'm going to try and paint it in the Italian colours (I'm half Italian)!

Plane and pilot looks great. Who makes these pilots...where can we purchase these from?

Was just out flying my Nieuport today, must say that in IMO compared to the SE-5, Fokker Triplane, and Albatros, it is the best flying of the bunch. It seems to be lighter, more agile, and slower flying, with good power. No mods on mine...

my Nieuport

I thought my SE5A flew better due to the Hershey bar wings.

I like the 17 but I prefer the SE5A for slowflying, and the Albatross for agility. I have the triplane too and its a bit better at slowflight than the 17 just mainly because of the wing area. The 17 has a small planform would be expected to stall a little faster than the tripe.

Super fun the flyzone fleet! I love painting them up.

Blue skies,

Mike
