Ultra copper sealant
How long does it need to cure before running eng.? I replaced the pitts muffler on a dle 30. Thanks

I would suggest overnight at the very least, 24 hours is better.
The instructions say to apply the bead, re-assemble, but do not tighten down all the way, stop when it starts oozing out between the parts, then wait at least two hours better is overnight.
Other guys who use it just go ahead and start using their engine after they re-assemble everything. The tube of stuff can go bad after some long period of time and then it stops curing on you.

I've had better luck just tightening down the muffler and waiting over night. It seemed to me that the sealant was skinning over and blowing out to easy when doing the finger tight for one hour first method. Also take some 200 grit sand paper to both surfaces to scuff them before mating.
