New model

Hi guy's
Just another one of my boats. This time it's a
Fairey Huntsman 31 (made by Precedent) very
simular to the one used in the James Bond film
From Russia with love.

I LOVE that boat, been drooling over the kits available from Anglia... someday. Someone on the "other" forum just got one in the mail...

A beautiful boat; the blue, white and mahogany colors look really good together. It looks like it's going fast even when it's . . . going fast!

I get the feeling Jenno that you are not a novice to this hobby. Beautiful boat, it stands as an inspiration to us all. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Hi jenno! I'm "The guy from the OTHER forum". LOL I gotta tell ya, you did a beautiful job on your Huntsman! I did infact, just get the 48" wooden kit myself a couple days ago. It took a month getting here in Denver, Co. by mail. Thanks for posting those pics. You've given me inspiration! Could you tell me where you got the wood planking on the top of the deck? Thanks, Brian

2 years, but modelling for many years

vett,
No this one is a 37" fibreglass version powered by a
540 motor, 15amp speed controller with a 12 volt
3300mah ni-hm battery.I have a part built 46"
will be built to the same finish as the above, but
with twin motors,probably with 850's.

Brian,
thank's for the compliment. All thewood planking was bought from
www.euromodels.co.uk

the mahogany was about 27 cents per 3' length and the
lime about 48 cents per 3' length. ( i think cents is right ?)

if i can be any more help please ask.

Wel jenno, I'd already had 1, of those motors. I ordered 1 more today and got an email from them $3.50/motor, and $7.00/shipping, $10.50/shipped/USPS. I don't expect postage on 2 motors to England would be unreasonable. Anyhow, for that price you'd still be getting a deal. I mailed a prop to the Netherlands (global express) and it cost me about $6.00. Brian

jenno, Forgot to ask you. Where did you get your deck fittings? Theres a zillion places selling em, but it takes forever to find what you can actually use on the net. How about that ladder on the transom too? Any links would be appreciated. Did you fabricate that railing on the bow? The kit gives you a 2' section of 3/32" brass. Thanks, Brian
