Looks great! Always wanted to do a canard. Can you tell me if plans are available?

Jeff, there is no published plan but if you search for Duck Twin on the Canard thread, you'll find lots of posts by the designer, Charles, who goes under the handle 'Canard Addict'. There are also plenty of pictures of my build on my website (Bartonhewsons.me.uk).

Charles was kind enough to run off copies of his sketches for me so you can but ask whether he is willing to do so again. If you decide to have a go from the photos alone, just put a posting on the Canard thread and either Charles or myself will happily help with any queries, critical measurements etc. it's certainly proved to be a refreshing change after struggling with my P47 build all last winter.

Pacific Ace

My Pacific Ace I framed up off the coast of Kuwait City during the Gulf War. We were mine clearing. Just a few basic hand tools, and lots of sand paper. The shocker is it came out dead straight (you can't exactly use a level on a ship). I finished it out when I came home. O.S 20 4C was plenty of power.

Well I shared some pictures of my sbach profile a week ago and here it is now after covering and after a maiden flight crash. Here a video of it as well. Plane has removable wings and the wing joiner block failed when entering a wide open throttle snap roll.

The Marlin started as a scaled-up Valkyrie (RCMW, November 2014), but I wound up changing the wing to fully-symmetrical.

Weight looks to be about 3 lbs. on an E-Flite Power 15. Going to start with a 3S2200, but I'm pretty sure I'll be going to a 4S2200 before long.

Like the original Valkyrie, this one'll have dummy jet exhausts carved from foam and painted with acrylics. Area is about 432 in. sq.
