Nitro-to-E conversion mount?

Does anyone know of a US source? The only vendor I can find that has this is hobbyking at the moment and was hoping to find a US vendor that could possibly get it shipped to me faster.

I checked them earlier. I have a couple of the plastic ones they show on the page but they won't work for what I want.

Why not just take the mount off all together and make up spacers to the motor from the backplate?

That's going to be plan B I think. The mount looked like a good way to make the conversion without so much re-engineering. The existing nitro rails have the correct thrust angles built in and are integral to the fuselage, so this would for the most part be a simple bolt on.

Well if you can find one might as well go with it. I have always just used the angles built into the backplate and made spacers and never had a problem with all my conversions. Like you say though, planB if needed.

Found them.

I saw an ad for Innov8tiveDesigns.com here that advertised "everything you need for electric models and glow to electric conversions", I clicked it and sure enough....they have them. Just ordered a couple.

Adapter isn't a bad way to do it depending on what motor and how you're going to mount it, sometimes it just ends up more clunky than standoffs or 2 sets of standoffs with an intermediate plate.

Or pex tubing or brake-line from the autoparts store... hardest part is the long bolts/machine screws!
