Those 180's looked quite a bit bigger. Not clear if it's a good trade. Larger capacity may provide longer flights, but added weight can affect flight characteristics. If it's a choice between 7 minutes of lively flight vs 8 minutes of sluggish flight, I'll choose the former.

FWIW... I just ordered a couple of these from BangGood:

I want to upgrade and improve my V911.
What model parts are interchangeable.

swash plate - is it the 260a or 270a or 100s.
shwash plate linkages.
Main gear.
Main motor
rear tail motor.
Blades.
Anything else. I only want straight swap parts not anythin i have to modify. Im not interested in the cnc parts as these are way to heavy to be an upgrade.

Hey guys, Does anyone have a good fix to slow down the rudder when stock transmitter is on high rates? I can live with the added aileron response, but the rudder is just to darn fast. Wish I could just increase elevator only. May have to buy a double horse transmitter if I can't correct the stock one. Read many posts ago about some transmitter fix but didn't understand what they were showing, poor pictures and explanation. Thanks Tom

The new transmitter for V912 (large version of V911) is said to support V911, and stick sensitivities are configurable. Might want to check that out too. In the mean time, search for "resistor mod".

Some guys are converting the stock TX to exponential curve response by soldering resistors on to the PCB. Expo'ing the yaw control is very helpfull and some guys have also Expo'ed the pitch and roll. I did the yaw only and used two 2.2K ohm resistors and am happy with the outcome.

Since nobody else is picking this up, here is my take.

There are a few mods in links from the first post in this thread, but not many drop-in upgrades. the only major ones I can think of are
1) Carbon Fibre mainshaft + fisheye swashplate, if it's not already fitted by default

2) Delrin main gear (maybe try miracle mart) is mechanically tougher but I'm not aware of any serious weakness in the stock part.
3) Bravo SX motor is a drop-in, apparently

The links/blades will depend on the head you have installed.

I think there's a limited amount of useful tinkering to be done with the v911, of dubious value if you're looking to increase performance with only drop-in upgrades.

Other helis are better suited.
