I have a grass fly club, sometimes they don't mow as often as they should.

I'm using the Beast with an AR800 and the DX8.

I've connected everything as suggested by MikePS:

In your DX8, set up your wing type as Dual Alieron. That make your Aux 1 become L Ail (left aileron). In your mix, mix Aux 2 to R Ail and Aux 3 to L Ail. Then plug top right aileron lead into Ail, bottom right aileron lead into Aux 2. Then plug your top left aileron lead into Aux 1 and your bottom left alieron lead into Aux 3. This will allow you to Sub Trim each aileron independantly.

But I don't know how to configure the mix.

What do I have to do exactly?

Hey guys, I've been watching this thread when it first started but since I've been building I haven't been keeping up with it so I apologize if this has been answered...

I finally got around to the maiden, I got the recommended power setup, power 60 470kv with a castle ice 100, 17x7 prop... But I find I'm hovering at nearly full throttle? Anyone else experience this? I'm using a 6s 5000mah 25c. Going to try a gens ace 5000mah 60c and see if that makes a difference... I'm wondering if anyone tried a larger prop or more pitch prop? Looking for suggestions to be able to hover around half throttle?

Thanks!

Check out this URL for my maiden video:

Yeah, I wasn't able to find a 17x7 Xoar.... at Toledo I was told there's only a 17x8... and the lady was adamant as she was the rep for both Xoar and Falcon props ;-). For better or worse she sold me a "PJN 17x8" Xoar prop.

I guess it's possible I heard her wrong??

Cheers,
J

I've been looking for a Xoar prop to go with but the electric props only have 17x8 and 18x8 that are the closest... The 17x7 is a regular Xoar, not Xoar Electric...

Wondering if that's the one you have? If it is, I'll try that... I got my Gens Ace 60c 5000mah now so tomorrow morning I'll give that a shot. Then next week I'll get my Xoar order with the 17x7 prop...

The Xoar I got is an electric, part number is "PJN 17x8". Maybe give that a try?

17x8 compared to 17x7 would give less torque... Maybe I'll give it a shot but if a 17x7 regular xoar prop works too then that should give slightly better torque

Oh, sure.... and the x8 will give more speed. s'all a trade-off. I only bought the 17x8 'cuz I was told the electric 17x7 either didn't exist or didn't exist with them in Toledo stock ;-).

Let us know what you get and how it goes.
J

PS-Yes, I admit, my Beast is still in the box ... shamed.... it will fly this summer!!! LOL
