Carbon fuse compatible rx (Spektrum)

What is the technical difference between a carbon compatible rx vs a standard?
I'm planning for a smaller Pylon project in carbon and thinking of different alternatives like maybe have the antenna to stick out from the fuselage. Or purchasing a carbon compatible rx.
Thanks!

On carbon (carbonfabric/epoxy) fuselage - you need to get antenna well away from the carbon surfaces and outside as well
Does not matter which brand radio - This can be a of work but if you use some small stiff tubing guides - you can stick one out each side the model . OR tape each whisker to underside of wings as far out as possible. --providing the wings are not carbon fiber .
The difference in the rx is typically, the extended coax which allows you to move the actual recptive part (the exposed wire) well away from the carbon.

Thanks, clarify things. So basically the old AR500 with one long whisker could be an alternative?

well--- not really- It has one long wisker and a short one so on a small model model - flown in close -you may be ok but the possibility of blanking out both -from the carbon fuselage -- is real.
On a fast pylon racer - I would not do it .

One of my friends flies pylon racers a lot. He has used the AR6255 for the longest time. Having pre-set failsafe on all channels was important to him.
