I've never tried to dye a prop, so I'm not sure. Back in my buggy days, we boiled nylon-impregnated plastic parts to make them more flexible, and therefore less apt to break. You don't want to make the prop more flexible, as doing so would ruin its performance.

As has been noted, you can get black GWS props from RCBabbel, who also makes the lightest, highest-performance batts for the 1s & 2s UM/UMX planes. The black 5030 is also currently in stock at Horizon: http://www.horizonhobby.com/products...ack-GWSEP5030B

Or just chrome it, as Gord suggested. A friend of mine owns a decked-out Cessna 185 show-plane. Among other things, it has a gleaming mirror-polished aluminum prop w/matching spinner. Looks really sharp. I've also seen a quite a few other show-planes with polished props.

Thanks, I ordered five so I'm set forever, seeing I haven't broke the original yet.

where'd you get those wheel pants?

On a side note I flew the Beast this morning with the 5030 prop and I like it seemed faster and a little more pull out power.

Those are cool. I don't have the pants, just wheels. How do those work out? Can you tell there on in flight? Slower roll rate?

The weight of the electrical tape on the landing gear is about zero.
The pair of wheel pants is 2,59g / 0.09oz.
I fly 3S, i don't feel any difference.

But if you fly 2S with very small and lightweight batteries maybe they have a very tiny influence.

But if you paint them red they look so nice, it's worth the 0.09oz.
(In my opinion)
