Super Kinetic 815

Newish to rc after many years of building balsa gliders mostly 2 channel
So have been messing about scratch building but the good lady won,t stand for the mess so bought the super kinetic as ready made.
Oops should have spent more time learning to fly again second time out aborted the take off and stuffed it onto a rock snapping body in half.
undeterred fixed body reinforced with carbon rods hardly noticeable thanks to non solvent araldite.
Hobbyking have a strange way to measure CG as I measure from leading edge of wing in this case 40mm seems right added some ballast as wanted to fly a little nose heavy and only using a 3s 460 lipo.
Second attempt much better but OMG does it need a big space to land cut moter and she just kept going and going had to bring it back around again twice. snapped prop blade in long grass no big deal spares on the way as original ones are rubbish brittle plastic. To that end would it be worth trying to use the two airlerons as flaps not sure how to do it have a six channel tx and rx it may not work anyway as could have a bad effect on wing and make the thing stall when dropping the flaps

nice plane

Hi!

Hope that you polished your skills so you are fit for the Super Kinetic.

Here's a short comparison between the overpowered Kit and the PNF-Version so you can see what's possible without big changes...

Don' use the ailerons as flaps. This will cause more speed and some plastik parts may break when landing harsh.
Better to make a wide curve and slow down by slightly pulling the elevator.

Cheers
Tom
