Hitec service

I sent my badly battered Hitec 555 back to the factory for repair.

In the cause of damage I gave them two choices

a) Collision with an invisable bird
b) Collision with a nearby planet

Clearly the damage was done by pilot error.

Hitec repaired the rx no cost to me, except postage out to California.

Nice guys, those Hitec people.

Thanks

They did the same for my wrecked 555 due to terminal speed Zagi impact.

I agree. I have had nothing but good luck with Hitec. I used to be one of the Futaba guys. But after dealing with Hitec I've switched totaly. The prices can't be beat either. Eric S.

it's pathetic how the new eclipse cannot do 90 ccpm, not w/o some mixing of programs. i think that this was a mistake on Hitec's part. i was actually going to buy that radio, until i heard the bad news. now i'm getting a futaba radio.

I was a Futaba user for most of my R/C career. However my preference has shifted to Hitec for a lot of reasons. First of all I dropped a Flash 5 transmitter down a flight of stairs. Sent it in for repair of a broken toggle switch with a note stating it was my fault and not a warrenty issue. REPAIRED--NO CHARGE

Sent in a 535 receiver that was at least 4 years old. Again with a note saying it was old and not under any kind of warrenty it was repaired with no charge.

Can you guess what my latest radio is?

Hint: It has a 7 in its name.

After having it on BO for 1 1/2 months I've been using mine for a month and like it better each day. It took me 25 minutes to program all the stuff into my flaperon plane, but it should be able to fly itself once I solve the ground loop problem and get it in the air.

Yes, Hitec Service is second to NONE ! It must cost a lot of money to fix things for free but they do it.

We have 4 Hitec radios in this house and I would purchase another. Recievers, servos, have all been good products.

When I emailed Futaba in Illinois about an old radio needing updates and they didn't answer me for a week, that was a bad sign from them.
I bought a new Flash 4 instead. No regrets !!

i like to think of it like this.
question: why do you think hitec's service is so good?
answer: because their products need repairing alot more than other manufacturers!

ok, that's probably not true, but it made me chuckle...a little.

We do too and I just bought an Eclipse, I was a die hard futaba user as well until I sent in three of my sons servos that he had shattered the gear train in....they repaired them for free. After that sort of service and all the features for the price we now have 4 hitec radios in the house as well

Why is Hitec service so good?
Because their products are high quality and seldom break down-so their technicians are not so overworked.

HOWZAT?
