I love my tacos. They are a bit bigger but they fly great but no, not quite as awesome and loose as the spaz 35"ers.

Last weekend I was at the club field complaining that I couldn't get my HK 51" Slick 3D to hover or harrier well at all. Some guy asked me if I had ever heard of the Sabre 35. I told him no and he proceeded to rave about it for the next 10 minutes. So I dug up this thread and it seems that almost everyone that flies this plane agrees that it rocks, especially for the money. So I ordered one last night. I decided to get a Suppo A2217/8 1100Kv motor since I didn't want to do any mods to the firewall and according to Dr. Kiwi's tests it performs as well as the Supertigre .10. I'm going to try some Solar A107 analog servos (about $5 each from Hobbypartz) to keep the cost down. Already have some 30A ESCs lying around as well as a bunch of 3s packs from 1000 - 1300 mAh. Can't wait to get this bird in the air!

Take the gear and order the 51" Sabre-X from VH and just put the gear in it from the Schlick. You'll thank me.

Trust me I'm thinking about it! But first I'm going to see how the Sabre35 shakes out. Might have to get a Scap too.

The Sabre35 is a good little 3d flyer...very fun and well worth owning and flying. :-)

I'm sure the Scap is a good little plane as well, I haven't flown one but I'll certainly take Jake's word on it.

Scap rocks. If it would only to a freakin pinwheel id say fook tha sabre!! They both suck!

My Hacker 20-22L died on my last flight. I need a new motor. Is the ST 10 "the motor" for this plane? Loved my Hacker, but can't believe the airframe outlasted the motor, lol. Does have hundreds of flights tho. If not the ST 10, then what motor?

The Super Tigre .10 has plent of power and is a good motor for the Sabre. However, I was using an Eflite 450 and had decent 3d power...albeit fewer watts than the ST 10.

Check out this comparison between the ST .10 and the Suppo A2217-8.

With the GWS 10x6 prop at 10.7V the Suppo gives 3.6 more ounces of thrust than the ST at the cost of less than 1 amp.

Hmmm !

I bent the shaft on my st10 today ill post the vid up later. I would like to try that other motor. Got a price and link? If it really does give more thrust on only a 10" prop I'm in!
