since no one replied i guess they think that is a bit high. i know how you feel ,it's a lot of work ,and a expensive machine. my all composite 70mm f-20 we are selling for 399.00 primered in the mold ,hinged in the mold ,ducts and retract mounts. so unless some body just really has to have a T-2 the price might be too high. i bet im making about $3.00 an hour for my f-20 oh well ,hard to compete with china prices

your making 3.00 hr...hell I am loosing 10.00hr....but then you are faster than me anyway...that is one thing about this hobby..you are pretty much guarrantied to loose money no matter how hard you try..I will be lucky if I can break 600 for a fully molded 120 size Mystere....we will see

It looks great and I'd love to have one but can't afford the price. I know there is a lot of hard work that goes into making a kit and can fully understand charging for your time does add up. Its still looks awesome.

I would venture to say the choice of plane, greatly impacts response. I bet if you offered your Draken, you'd have a bit more interest. Unfortunately, great craftsmanship is not always rewarded with great $$$. It's a D@*m shame. Considering the price being paid for comparable sized planes commercially, I would consider what your asking is a bargin. I know I don't have the time, overall skill, and tooling to do what you guys do. So I attempted to support others (Pdawg, Boredom.Is.Me, NitroCharged, etc), who are doing what you do in the Micro EDF forum. Good Luck with the build and kit.

Might have better luck producing files for a laser cut short kit. then after many sales you'll start seeing profits.

I made an intake extension from a plug and 'glass, and just that little bit of nothing took hours!! I can't see how anybody makes money doing RC work like this as a cottage industry.

I do not expect to make many money on hot wire cutting.
but somehow I feel too many just think in hobby-king terms when it comes to price.
Who would work for a $ an hour and have the risk that something goes wrong either on the production or with the customer's payment.
I do have models done in China under the Velocity-RC name, the most well known are T-33 and the Mirage 2000.
My work together with Air sally on the Saab-Draken. First as a advanced Depron construction, designed by me and put together with talent from air-sally.
I have that one cnc cut as well and one is going to Brian Wooliams in Canada.
I might be able to sell the draken at 250 $short kit with drawings and canopy and cores for the ducts.

Claus I think your models are worth $250 all day. Having sat here for a day or two cutting foam, making templates, printing the files, if I could afford one I would buy it,just to save from having to do all the tedious work. I think a lot of people do not know what go's into making one of these foam models and look at it like its just a pile of foam, { or I can buy the foam for 30 dollars} what they forget is the countless hours one has invested to get to where you are at. I think the scratch builders or anyone who has gone through the procesess to build a kit will see where im coming from.

Claus how much for foam cut for the 90mm Draken...that is still on my wish list.
