Rubber FF to RC electric...
OK, here is the plan. I have a stick and tissue rubber powered FF I built a
few years back. I have flown it a dozen times or so. We really don't have the
space needed for larger FF planes. It has some minor damage to the tissue,
We have a 4 channel helio that is worn out. The rotor head parts. The board,
and servos are fine. It is 2.4. has two separate servos, 3.6g. And the motor
is marked 180 FM1327-3.5a. Not planning on using the motor. The board
is a 4 in 1. Assuming it is a 5a esc. The right stick controls the two servos
so that is good since it will be a three channel plane.
The plane weights 5oz, 142g in the rubber FF mode. It has a 41" wing span.
This is the motor, gear box I am looking at. It has to be brushed,
Cut some control surfaces on the tail, repair the tissue, install a lite ply
firewall and motor mount, servo rails, battery mount and hatch. We
have lots of small 2s lipos. 350, 500, 800mah.
Anyone see any bad things hiding in the back ground??

Don't see any real issues, but something always seems to pop up once "re-modeling" (modeling-again?) starts.
Just thought I would share the attached document in case it is something can help as you consider components for the project.
Best of luck.

I wouldn't assume that the ESC is 5A. Most of the all in 1 boards I have seen are 3.5A. Better to err on the side of caution....
