Ahhhh...that sucks. No chance to recover it?
Reminds me of a story someone told me of their twin powered aircraft flying off into the distance over and ocean after he lost radio contact and never saw it again.

The cliffs at that location were "only" about 600-700 ft high, but absolutely unclimbable.
For some reason one aileron jammed in fully deflected position. I tried my darndest, but could not save the model. That Whirlwind was a great airplane, and losing it was a real bummer.
