Has anyone ever seen a "flyable" model Harier ?

Done a search on here but can't seem to find anything

No hovering with that one, of course
No reason you couldn't do a scratch build.

Here is a link to one mesnick did in 2007. There was talk of plans but never did see anything come of it but it looked good. The Harrier is one of my favorite Jets. Lived in Yuma, AZ for years and enjoyed watching them.

Thanks for the links and info guys, maybe its time I did one and got some plans out for it

Don't know about the VTOL but have to start with a flyable model first eh

It will be around the same size as the other ones I am doing ... around 700 -800 mm WS

My profile one is really fun to fly. Adding in 60 degrees of flaps makes it practically vertically land. A little breeze and it does.

I think i even have a video...

Lockey,

It looks like Moreno Lippi has had success with the VTOL part using ducted fans. The down side is long development time and short flight time. It looks like his body work if from hobby king.

Lol that's like cheating. J/k.

Is it me, or did he have to put it into a dive for airspeed before he closed the edf?

I think it was one edf rotated downward with vanes to direct airflow then rotated up to the huge static holes in the fuse directed to the rear. This could also be used on an f35 for the rear edf and a standard edf pointing down at the front of the fuse. The f35 in the other video drops altitude as well to ease the transition from hover/forward flight to full forward flight. The transition looks like it might be rough if not done that way.
