I fly mine on 12S of the 30C batteries. On the 11S of the new 65C batteries you have the same WATTS. So same power less weight. This fan is about 1 LB lighter than the Extreme version.

Yeah, I laughed when Billy just pulled the fan out of the box with no effort!

Be careful... the fan should not be run on more than 4000 watts continuous and you can exceed that with the 45C 12S setup.

So...

what's the deal of having an electric Dynamax running on 11s, if it putts out only 4 kw when most of plane the Dynamax is suppose to fly should more likely be around 4,5 or 5 kw?

Having the same kw with less cells is a great thing but that is due to the better batteries.
I was expecting this unit to be around 5 Kw at least because the previous Extreme version I think was too much Extreme!
I mean...10 Kw is not for everybody, but 4 Kw is a little bit on the lower side of what people are going to need I think.
There's really no motor suited to this fan that the XPS guys could have used to pull 5 Kw?
Its more of a marketing stuff then other things I guess!

Very interesting, did I miss it, or did you guys already post statistics on this setup.

Static Thrust
Total weight of fan and motor.

Does this baby need huge inlet ducts? If Tam cannot get me a setup for my new Panther, almost completed, I might be interested in a quick replacement. The Stumax can power this plane without a problem and probably weighs the same as the Hacker Setup, what do you think? Figure 6lbs lighter than the PST Panther, same size, same size ducts.
