But because the camera is automatically turning On when it is receiving 5V power from the USB connector, maybe you can use some power pack or power source which can automatically turn on.
For example if you want to use it in a house between some hours, buy a power socket timer.
If you want to use it in a house and start/stop it when you want, buy a Wi-Fi power switch.

Has anyone figured out a way to edit the cameras settings in mac?
edit: I've tried VM Windows 7 but it doesn't seem to want to cooperate with the camera very well.
