12V adapter to power Lipo charger

Does anybody know if either of these 2 items would be sufficient for powering a Lipo charger? If so, It looks like it would be a cheap easy way to power them, and cleaner looking than a PC power supply

AC to DC portable Adapter

500mA AC to 12VDC Adapter

Neither is of much use in charging motor batteries. Current for the first is unknown and only 500 mA for the second.

Nope, way too low powered. If you want to go that route rather than a proper bench DC supply then consider a 12V 90W laptop/LCD supply from ebay for the same $20. A 90W supply will run most entry level 50W output chargers like for example the Cellpro4S, Bantam BC6 etc.

Thanks for the update. I have been looking, and it seems the cheapest way to go is with a spare P4 PC power supply, can use the 12v connections for the motherboard (4 pin plug) to power directly with no other mods.

Most PC power supplies do require some adjustments to work. A loopback from GND to the 5VSENS signal to allow it to turn on and about a %W-10W load on the 5V output so it will regulate properly. Do a search there are lots of threads here and pages out on the web on converting a PC power supply.
