Thanks for the info. I flew the ship yesterday for almost 2 hours. It is a different bird but once you get to know how she likes to fly she is nice.

This is all I have for now. Had about 1.5 hours in the air sunday. It flys differently but once you know its limitations and what it does not like, it flys nice. It does have a narrow flight envelope. Spoilers would be HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I don't know. It apears to be a stock rudder. I think it is a little to small and it is detachable so I could enlarge it or replace it with something 15% larger.

we used to enlarge the rudders on our old marks models wanderers. how does she fly? you mentioned glider likes certain things and doesn' t like certain things..can you elaborate? do you have a lot of dihedral on yours? looks like stock config to me.

thanks

Its very stock and there is a lot of dihedral but its a 2 channel. The long skinny wings require it to fly faster than say a Bird of Time or Wanders but when in a thermal she can turn a tight radius, but needs to keep moving. I don't have a lot of RES experience but this one has a narrow flight envelope. To fast and she starts bending the wings and gets all upset. To slow and she will drop a wing. When flying straight and level she will slow down a lot and float but don't try and turn as she will fall out of the sky. When flying slow the rudder looses a lot of its authority, almost to a fault and this is why I would like to make it bigger. After measuring the CG where I left it after flying last Sunday and marking the CG per the plans I move the CG an additional 3mm to the rear. I started out at 60mm and ended up at 66mm and moved it to 69mm. I will need to modify the tow hook and try to move it back 5mm+. Not sure how I'm going to do that yet.
