Why on earth you would want to change that "golden" chassis to a bland black one is beyond me, but the wheel conversion kit seems more practical.

No ball bearings in the bell crank is a bit of a missed opportunity.

You gotta think that there are buyers out there that don't truly understand the significance of the RC10 Classic.

As for the bell crank without bearings, I guess that keeps the price point down, but an upgrade should really include metal ball bearings and not bushings.

Perhaps it could be justified if someone wants to keep the gold pan chassis scratchfree, but in that case I would rather get a second RC10, keep one for looking good, and one for running.

Even the most basic cheap RTR cars have at least metal pivot with plastic ball crank, and ball raced steering is found even on the better RTR cars as stock option. Then it should certainly be part of an upgrade part. Naturally you can substitute the bushings for ball bearings, but it sounds a bit like cutting corners on the wrong side.

I know that a couple people received ones to be reviewed, so the ones for the public should be available very soon. I have heard Mid-October.

Wow. I had one of those when I was 15. I'm 40 now. I would love to get one of those for my son who is 10. Can you still get that car?

Very cool. I will have to look into that. I am getting ready to get into quadcopters, and my son wants to get a car. This may be the one.

Upgrade upgrade upgrade! Geez that would be like adding an upgrade to a classic 60's Ferrari,or giving the Mona Lisa a mustache. This car changed everything.

I've recently acquired a 1997 T3 that I am so torn between keeping or selling. It is dang near pristine and hardly a scratch on the underside.

I know its no Gold Pan but is still like a historic piece of RC history to me. Lol

I have my old early 90's Team car that the black chassis would be a perfect replacement for. I hacked the original down to save weight and while it has history it is not pristine by any means.

I'm hoping they rerelease the Stealth Transmission and wide front and rear arms as well. I'm almost afraid to run my old car hard because those easy to break arms are hard to find. (At least that I've found)

I have an original gold pan but with no body. Hopefully I can pick up a new version for less than a small fortune. I know, she needs some cleaning but its all there.
