WoW thanks for the feedback Ran! I connected the 8 channel spectrum reciever to the kk2 because i use 10 outputs. 2 extra are for the nose wheel and 3bsm. Ah yes the trim menu thanks. I am happy whit the open Aero Vtol. Perhaps i can lower the gain for pitch. Autolevel dor pitch is now 12 i will share the new configs soon so you can see what i can do better for a nicer hover i also made a setup for normal flying still working on it.

Hi let me explane, for the roll there are seperate valves that direct airflow from the 90mm to the wings. For yaw the whole 3bsm tilts left of right just like the real one😉

Thanks for the information. Very impressive work!

Can you also share details of your valve design for the roll control?

VTOL is not easy.
Scale VTOL with ducted fans is harder still.
Adding things like your swivel duct and puffer jets for scale (and still able to keep it light enough to hover) is truly remarkable. Fantastic.

hi guys, progress is slow. i have to work alot. Did some testing but i think i am going back to seperate edfs for the roll. the rolls are not strong enough in wind conditions. i can pull more thrust from the 90 mm but then it is harder to take off vertical. we have thrust enough but still this is not easy:P.. i like the challange

here is a new video.

Vtol x35 hover in livingroom (1 min 14 sec)

Hi guys, sorry that i have no updates, the project is becomming to expensive to continue @ this moment we have Many ideas to make it work. I invested a lot of time in the 50" vtol fighter and we learnd alot from each other. My next step will be a 120mm /90mm combination some day for a bigger x35 and share the ideas with you guys and hope to do a complete transition.
We accomplished to make a scale working liftsystem (3bsm), make a stable hover, slow forward flight, 360 turn, flying backwards, programming and tested a short take off. The goal is to do a complete vtol flight for the future. See you guys later
kind regards,

Joel

Hi, I am working on a f35 profile VTOL project. Mine uses a flip down rear edf and a forward edf , both use a single vane in each thrust tube.

Now for the question... how in the hell, are the swivel ducts connected together? Any chance of a pic of the attaching flanges?

I haven't found any pics anywhere that shows that detail.
