ezone needs help

Hi all:
Please take a look at comments & suggestions thread. There is a way we could all help "clean" up this site without causing pain to the administration.
Thx

Which thread in particular in the suggestion forum? Perhaps I am missing something...

I'll do whatever I can to help!

I have emailed many a poster and advised that they could delete their own threads. Most don't realize how low key the Ezone is unlike other sites!

I think deleting you own add is little to ask for the service!

To clarify what Jim is suggesting, I believe that he meant "forum" as in the "For Sale/Wanted" forum and not "site".

Half the fun on this site is searching for old posts that have already answered the question you were about to ask! That's the whole point.

Jim Ward was referring to the ForSale/Wanted forum - when the deal is closed there is no need for the thread anymore.

I do not want people to delete their other threads in different forums as very much of this data is very valuable.
Having a big database of posts to search from is invaluable and it should continue to grow.

I agree that with all the forums except ForSale/Wanted we should not close the thread. there is so much great info. here. I spend many enjoyable hours getting up to date info. on all aspects of our hobby.
However it is still a pain to search ForSale/wanted (6/10/01-5/21/01)and then email someone only to find the item is no longer available.
I will say that many people have responded to HELP!
Thank you All

This is a good idea, as many folks are unaware they can do this themselves.

Just for info purposes, I asked a moderator to include my e mail address after I felt comfortable here. He kindly told me how to do it myself. Just click on profile, I believe, and go from there.

Thanks for a great service E Zone, glad to help.

How about putting a time limit on how long an add runs for, that way the moderator could just clean them all out (if he/she can). Also if someone still has an item for sale they'll have to put in the effort of re-advertising? Just a thought.

J Bourke has asked for some input into upgrading this site. I've suggested that the style of this site:http://www2b.abc.net.au/science/k2/stn/ is quite user friendly. What do you guys think?
