LOL.... lesson learnt on that one, so it won't happen again. Plus that was a take-off, hehe. (could have deployed a chute in the last seconds maybe....)
Slowing in grass for landings is no problem. Luckily the Su landing gear - even stock, but mine is much more robust than that now - doesn't seem to have any issue with grass. And not even a hint of wanting to 'angular roll' off its trike ever. |

Pete,
I was recommending a chute just incase you don't get up you can deploy it before u hit something again, to help slow Natalia down. I guess maybe for landings for the same reason, since she is packing some thighs on her. More of an emergency thing, but if your landing right u won't need it for landings with your LE slats , airbrake and all. Mine is mainly for landing on a shorter runway with a obstruction at the end. |

Ch1 to delta taileron Ch2 to delta taileron Ch3 Throttle Ch4 to all kinds of rudders (Aero, TV, wheel, etc) Ch5 to retracts Ch6 to Flaperon 1 Ch7 to Flaperon 2 Ch8 to delta TV Ch9 to delta TV And Deltas don't need to be external, you can mix them from transmitter. Maybe (Depending on transmitter) you need to use specific channels for flaperons (Like 1 & 6) but still can't get this same setup using program mixes on other channels. Just a thought, up to you ![]() Cheers! Jandro. |

All valid points, I'm just pig-headed. I don't want to give up have the rudder and yaw vector on independent channels for my vector on/off switch. I don't use the rudder alon
Lol, if Pete keeps stuffing Natalia, she's gonna run for the fence again! |

I have five large aircraft using those "Medium" sized retracts. All over 3.0Kg.
They don't really quote specs, but it is something in the area of "Suitable for 2.5Kg" (or 2.7Kg) aircraft. Like most things, specs are rubbish... only useful as a guide... So I assess....test... see what happens.... I have not had one failure of any retract, though every one I have is metal trunion converted. They tear out of a plane long before they get any chance to fail! So I am not worried over them one iota.... they will even do 4Kg fine. |
