That's a beautiful amphibious ! I've been looking for a twin like that! Thx for posting.

With a little searching I found a great thread on Christine's Ivan Sealand build. I have taken the liberty of including a link in case others are interested.

Working on a review of the Multiplex Porter

Also, one I got of the Sport Cub the same day we were shooting the Porter mixing it up with a full scale airliner (joke)

Wouldn't mind see'n a vid on the platypus.

She looks real good on floats.

I notice no rigging...do it flex a bit just with two aluminum landing gear struts?

I didn't notice any flex. We have video, I'll let you know when the article goes live. I see you're in Canada so you won't get the print copy unless you happen to subscribe to Model Aviation.

There is a company out of Quebec , Canada called Mr Aerodesign that sells short kits on the CL-415 being one plus others. Can be bought as plans up to a full kit. First class scale stuff plus have the water pickup and drop system for the CL-415.
Check it out. If you want the best he has it.

Little Gull

Here's my attempt at making a quick-and-easy-to-build seaplane from depron.

Pretty well everything is 6mm sheet except for a little liteply and a balsa LE to the wing.

Span is 48", weight 1lb 7 oz, flies fast on a 3-cell 1300 (10 minutes gentle flight = 900 mA) but can ROW and stooge around on 2 cells on the same 8x6 prop.

The wing is joined with a CF rod in brass tubes.

The depron is of course waterproof, but all the seams are treated to a bead of UHU Por, smeared down flat with a finger, making them totally sealed.

She flies very well indeed despite the high thustline.

Float flying in Vermont...in the winter!

My friends E-Flite Carbon Cub, and my Ultra Stick. We fly off compacted snow, at our field.
No problem taxiing around with just the rudder, to "steer" the aircraft; you can see the tracks in the snow.
So ski in the morning, then fly in afternoon..
