quick question regarding which way to tilt the head, if viewing the gyro from the rear and I wanted to go left I would lower the left side and raise the right side of the rotor disk to go left? (tilting the whole head assembly to the left)
also what causes a gyro to roll violently to the right on take off? I have the blade rotation setup normally where the left side is the retreating side?

Sounds like the same as described on page-1 in the 1st post #16: Maybe
16) When I try to take off and I pull up elevator my model just
rolls over on it's back and does the funky chicken, what's wrong?
Your rotor has not reached full "autorotation". This is the condition
where the rotor is not just windmilling slowly but turning at a very
high rate. In this condition the centrifigal forces are high enough
for the rotor to be stable and it is producing enough lift to fly
and keep it self spinning. It is important to get the rotor into
autorotation before flying and allow the model to fly on its own
without up elevator.

Good read, I'll probably have more questions, once I'm smart enough to know what questions I have. I have a durafly auto G2 on it's way. I'm sure I will have more questions before I am ready to maiden it.
