A dusting of silver paint. The weight now is 142g.

There is wet and windy weather here at the moment and for the foreseeable future

I'll just plod on doing a few bits and pieces until the weather improves.

Looks great! Swedes fitted Guns?
That 142 gms is a wee bit porky for a 16" span model.
I'm familiar with ~99 gms on a 24/28" RC.
Will that prove problematic?

Bare, this Tunnan is a bit bigger at 22" span. The 24mm version was 16" span.

The wing-loading on this bigger 32mm Tunnan is about 25g/dM^2 which should give a nice fast, solid scale performance.

Indeed, at this wing loading, careful trimming will be needed. I aim for an arrow-straight glide and powered glides, then as the power is increased the model will hopefully turn for some reason reason or another. Only enough power for a brisk climb will be needed, the natural urge for more power must be resisted at all costs

The KP timer comes into it's own here as you can slowly and carefully work up to the power levels and duration that will be needed.

As "standard", Tunnan was equipped with four 20 mm automatic guns.
Also, various wing rockets were used, such as Sidewinders, and several types of attack rockets for ground- or sea targets.
1961-62, "Tunnan" did UN-service in Kongo (by then fairly out of date)

Some more "Tunnan" pics below....

Had a few trimming flights today in a nearby soccer field. Flights had to be kept very short due to the small site.

Thanks guys.................

The film was excellent. Didn't know that an English test pilot was used? The film of the restoration of SE-DXB showed some great detail.

Need to decide what markings to copy? I much prefer to model a contemporary colour scheme rather than a restored example; these can be a bit too shiny? Might have shot at a bare metal finish?......been messing with various shades of silver.
