not sure what a hornet needs? 2mm shaft w/46 pitch? if so allerc.com has a selection starting at 10 tooth.

Not positive about the Hornet, but HPI Micro RS4 pinions work well on the Piccolo. They are available in 8 to 13 teeth. Be careful though as the steel can strip your main gear easily. Auto-rotation gear/one-way may help here. Also the shaft on some stock motors will need to be ground smooth to eliminate the splines or the metal pinion will not fit. Then you can't go back to plastic pinions.

The gears are available at most LHSs & towerhobbies.com among many others. Good luck!

Thanks

After talking to a few people, I think I may stick with plastic gears. I guess I just got a little flustered when I stripped out my 2nd plastic pinion. I'll just watch the gear mesh a little closer

Thanks for the response's

The Hornet uses 64 pitch pinions.

I know fxaermodels carries a one or two sizes.

Hi all. Where to buy metallic double gear? Whats that name? Theres not sold to this car, but if someone find or know where? Wltoys l202 has brushless motor and goes fast. I drive lot of sand and it goes inside to gearbox... I need upgrade to metallic! What is my gear ratio? I have little bigger rear tyres than original.
