Dream-Flight: If you are monitoring this thread a hint about delivery progress would be nice.
That sounds like a plan... I'm sure that will be the case.... A lot of "Hype" for this plane.... Hope it lives up to it! I expect it will!

Below is the link to Pierre Rondel's Libelle assembly photos. He hopes to have flight video up tomorrow. In case you are not familiar with his cinematography prepare yourself for World-Class HD Imaging, extreme Zoom capabilities and a setting in the French Alps.

Looking at Pierre's photos, I think I'll have lots of room for that round 1s 1200 lipo.

But what's with that round peg up by the leading edge

Dave,
still waiting for that e-mail that my package has shipped...

I received a reply from George just a few minutes ago. He confirmed that an email with tracking info will be sent. He also expects that I should have mine delivered to Pennsylvania by March 19 (no guarantee).

They are in process of QC'ing right now.

I only have 2 HS-35s, planning on using them for ailerons. Any thoughts on using D-47s for Elevator and Rudder?
Also what Spektrum Receiver are you guys planning on using?

Looking at Pierre's photo's it appears the rudder pushrod is on the wrong side for a right hand throw? Good for a lefty, which I'm not. I've always installed the rudder horn & pushrod opposite side of the peg so it is in tension after release. Am I missing something? Can the horn be installed either side? Hope so.

You are right!
The rudder horn is on the wrong side.
Also the rudder has hinged wrong side for a right hand throw.

I believe the horn is possible to change to the right side but to the hinge you can not do anything.
I think it is insignificant problem for this size dlg.

I have not get my Libelle yet.

Score one for the southpaws!

In my experienceI have seen 0 difference in flight and lunch for right hand or left hand rudder. I have flown both setups and am sure that I am not a world class flyer. This is not a world class competition plane.

I don't think I'd worry about this too much on this level of DLG. The person this is aimed at isn't going to notice or care.

The pod is foam. You can put anything you want into it within reason. The molded spaces are for HS35's but there's no reason you can't open up the foam a bit to fit something else.

I don't think the strips are near the LE, I think they lay flat on the panels, top and bottom. I was going to order them, but I figured I'll wait and when the plane arrives, I'll be able to determine if they are needed. If so, I'll fire up the vinyl cutter. besides, WHITE?????, ... nothing like White on White on White.

I was also going to order two, but these are first shots, so I think I'll wait on the revised design for the second one.
