I just ordered mine today. I plan on installing a Ardupilot APM2.5 to create a easy to fly UAV system. It seems to be very stable and if it is anything like my EZ 1500 from HK it should be easy to repair too..

This is part # 020039 from Goodwinds, you can find it here:

Ordered two as well, thanks for the find.

I will report the build progress and the test progress.
Test and Flight Plan:
1: Build and fly as stock RC
2: install APM 2.0 and test stabilized Flight modes.
3: Tune and test Autonomous Flight modes.
4: Install RC video source switch and mount pilot view cam in nose.
5: install GoPro stabilized mount under wing and flight test with Vtx
This is subject to change but my goal is to produce a stable platform for video and long range UAV flights.

I have the apm2.5 as well. Wondering if the Bixler profile is going to work for the SSS. I may install mine tonight & find out. Installed my LRS today & will be testing that this afternoon. I'm using the 433 version of ezUHF.

I built mine, it's really great, but not my kind of plane. Five flights, no problems. I have it listed here on RCGroups.com. Unfortunately local pick up in North NJ. I'm asking only what I have in it.

And here is another. Unfortunately I can't find anyone who carries it in the western hemisphere yet..... or anywhere else actually. A 2M Sky Surfer.

Yes, I have that one also, it's the BridgeSky Vector 850, I don't know why they put "SkySurfer" decals on the wing, but it is manufactured by BridgeSky and it is officially named the Vector 850. BTW, it is a superb mini sub-1 meter EZ style sport plane, it is one my favorites. it's in stock at the USA warehouse btw:

That's correct, as it is molded from EPO, not EPS.

i'm probably going to mount my esc immediately in front of the motor, on top...
if you are using the built in bec, a failed esc is a doomed plane, i wouldnt take the risk cool that sucker by putting it in external air flow or vent the interior
I am also considering making some vents, there's no interior ventilation- battery, rcRx and any other electronics should have at least some fresh air circulation
Just got back from the flying field today for the first flight after cutting three 1/2 holes, one on each side of the nose and one in the bottom just in front of the wheel for cooling.. Worked Great..was up for 12 minutes with a 4000 lipo and upon landing the ESC was not hot at all and the entire interior was nice and cool.. Maybe version 2 will make these improvements.. Very happy to move on now with installing more video equipment...

great to hear you've had success
i'll be putting a vent either side of the nose & one somewhere rearward, once I work out what's in the sealed tail section
my Bix2 has the vent under the nose and i've already accumulated a enough grass clippings inside the fuse to start a lawn mulch pile lol so I wont be making any vents under the fuse anywhere. I actually sealed the underside vent on my bix2

just like the Bixler2, the fuse comes factory glued, with soooo much wasted space in the fuselage
thought I'd look on BH site, they have the fuse listed as a spare, out of stock, and no photo to see of the fuse comes seperated... frustrating...

OK got mine yesterday and here is what I have decided it is big and beautiful. I went to the local hardware store and bought music wire to upgrade the pushrods for the elevator and rudder don't know what size it was not marked but it was almost twice as big and slid in the existing tubes no problem. I was then going to update the esc but decided to put the whole power system I had in my fun cub. Bp2814_6 1400 kv 60 amp speed control and 5 amp bec. And ordered cf spar tube.
