I can't wait to get this new Hobby King plane, it's soo cool looking. I may get a couple and pull the motor from one and slope it!

What someone SHOULD do, is splash a mold of the HK plane and start selling fiberglass parts for the "Mini Slope Zephyr".
Then you can tell them to "kiss off, its made of fiberglass and a sailplane" !
Just make sure you modify some small part and of course stretch the wing. Then it will be legit.

Sorry Ralph

I just think it's sad when a company basically say's "yeah, we copied it, but we changed this n that just enough so legally it's not a (copy)"...

Not trying to earn myself a point but Big country who are you really?
Your first post on the groups was to bash someone saying things you did not like about hobby king? Your post's seem very fishy as well, what product do you sponsor? Inquiring minds would like to know.

That's what I've been wanting to believe for the last 20 years or so. Fact is, that stuff takes forever to decompose in the land fill.

Just like every other plane that HK sell, It will be out of stock in an hour and then never come back into stock.

Disney has lots of lawyers. Do you suppose they would care about HK 'almost' copying their "Airplanes" toy line?

Well said Paul, a Zephyr will always be a classic. After a few companies copy the Dirtyfly plane, they will all be foam junk that gets cheesier with each rendition.

At least they are going to give up a free plane. It would have certainly been the more honorable thing to make this offer before anyone knew about this plane, but we have to know by now that not everyone shares the same moral compass.

I don't think these two will compete for sales though. Park flyer guys were never going to buy a kit and those who want a sleek, customized hot rod don't want epp dimples all over their plane.

They could have easily avoided this by making it a bit more like Tsunami... or how about just make Tsunami!
