[Now available!] Videos filmed with Phobotic Centerpiece (BL gimbal controller)

We started selling today!
http://phobotic.com

Phobotic Centerpiece Brushless Gimbal Controller (Panasonic GH4 on TP1000 gimbal) (11 min 25 sec)

----------------------

Today we got a GH4 video filmed from a DJI S1000 with a TPPacks AG1000 gimbal and a Centerpiece controller, done in high winds, courtesy of Daloaf

Phobotic Centerpiece Test Flight on DJI S1000 and TP1000 Gimbal and Panasonic GH4 (4 min 42 sec)

----------------------

Today I have RX100 testing, courtesy of Gary Goodrum at tppacks.com. This flight was 100% autotuned, nothing was touched or adjusted:

F500-Y6 TP100-RX CP Test-16 (2 min 32 sec)

I advise you to download the raw camera files from here (download, don't watch directly on Dropbox as the quality will be appalling - the raw videos are worth it):
https://www.dropbox.com/s/uw4zs5kazx...93038.MTS?dl=0

Another flight, harder:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/up3wzgs7je...11740.MTS?dl=0

One in suicidal wind just to make a point (you can hear the Naza fighting the wind, watch the tree and flag on the green below at 2:45):
https://www.dropbox.com/s/6azffzjv9z...54422.MTS?dl=0

BMPCC testing, 14mm Lumix lens (42mm effective), RCTimer Legacy gimbal, completely autotuned:

BMPCC 04 July (3 min 30 sec)

-----------------------------------

A new Brushless Gimbal Controller developed by my company (Phobotic).
Specs will be disclosed soon, but technically it's quite different to any existing (or known future) BLGC.

These videos were shot using a DJI Phantom, completely unbalanced (and badly scraped) props.

There isn't any apparent jello mostly because of active algorithms in the controller that constantly perform vibration arresting. Another emphasis we have is on horizon leveling, even under high G (as much as a Phantom can pull, anyway) with rapid yawing, the camera never develops a noticeable horizon drift.

Phantom night flight, the Israeli national theather (Tel Aviv, Israel) (4 min 45 sec)

Phantom night flight, Rabin square (Tel Aviv, Israel) (4 min 30 sec)

Stress testing in heavy winds:
Phantom at the beach (Phobotic Centerpiece testing) (1 min 32 sec)

Testing roll follow:
Phantom night flight, local park (Tel Aviv, Israel) (4 min 21 sec)

This was all filmed using simple 3D printed mechanics and cheap iPower gimbal motors.

Upcoming tests on a Tarot T810 with RCTimer 3 axis gimbal and a BMPCC will take place over the next few weeks (when we get the camera ).

The controller will be shipped to OEMs and individuals during Q1 2014. Right now we are manufacturing our first batch. Pricing will be slightly more expensive than existing Alexmos boards, but within reason (we have expensive components in there).

Nope, all footage is untouched (other than color grading using the ProTune profile).

Not yet. It's coming soon though, during the first quarter of 2014.

So if it can kill vibrations also, have you think of using it as a plate where the FC board is... it would prevent flips or flyaways due to vibration getting to the FC
or I am saying something non-sense?..

It's not nonsense First, it can only kill some of the vibrations. It can't do much against lateral movements, for example (due to the nature of the gimbal). It also doesn't kill ALL vibrations (that would be very difficult to achieve!) but removes those that interfere with the image (I don't think these are the kind that necessarily interferes with the FC).

Finally, It will interfere with the correct function of the FC, because of its dampening.

Have you consider a function to return to initial yaw position when using 3 axis?..
Sometimes when using head-lock in alexmos's boards, the gimbal looses orientation with the frame.

Thanks!

You mean follow mode? In our controller you can turn this feature on or off for each of the 3 axes.

Mazel Tov on your new 3 Axis Phobotic

I would like to do a side by side with Alexmos 3 Axis...let me know when you've got something to test What sort of distribution scheme will you have...perhaps you can show up at NAB. What do you think the weight will be of the gimbal
suitable for a Phantom. Will you have something for the Cinestar and larger cameras? How about handheld
options...looking forward to seeing this.
