SubEd - Sweet! Awesome work. I'm giving my T-28 a new paint job too. But it's coming out a little ghetto because I'm doing it by hand and I can't paint!

Did you use krylon fusion for PLASTICS? That's is what I use. It's kinda a "dry" spray? If that makes sense? Never had a problem?

One more tip. Use postie notes for masking. They won't pull up paint.

Ron.. thanks for the tip... was just wondering what I was gonna do. Sprayed the T-28 Krylon Fusion Yellow (yes, plastics.. I'd call it more running and "wet", don't like it). Was noticing the paint pulls even with painters tape. Doing blue under the wing and tail and really need to tape a bit.. was in a pinch thanks.

How many cans of paint did you use. A bit worried bout the extra weight as I am seeing just how much paint this takes But once I get my SK3 700watt motor all should be fine lol.

I just downsized my T28 motor. From Power 15 to 480 Plus, still 1000kv and 4s, The manufacture claims 56 pounds torque and 76 mph... I lightened the plane from 47 to 40 oz... I am going flying in the morning.

SubEd You must be the guy that just ordered this decal assortment from Calle. I just ordered the same thing for mine. LOL.

Hey question. The "grey" what did you use? Still prepping my T-28 and waiting for my decals.

I had the same thing happen when I tried this paint out. Not sure what the deal is but it looks like blobs of paint at times. I figured I needed to shake the can more. Still sprayed like snot.

Ouch lol... I used 2 cans. Doesn't "feel" much heavier though lol.

Yes... like snot, and yes drips everywhere.. then later it smooths out.

Ron... I have to ask... what the motor/ESC are you using on those Youtube vids... I GOTTA know.

I ran 5 packs through the new set up. I was not overly impressed with the 480 plus on 4s, perhaps if I had never had a power 15 on 4s ?
I switched back ... it's short runs at high speed for me... big lazy loops, nearly unlimited vertical all the good stuff... I'll try the 10x10e and 10x5 props I have in the am. (down from the 11x8 and 11x7x3)
I'm just gonna get good at landings and battery swaps

Good morning ( or afternoon ) all, I have bought a T-28 and have a battery mounting question, my instructions do not show where to put the battery.
The logical location, a good fit, is laterally, just behind the motor and ESC.

There is however a "tunnel" between that compartment and the area under the removeable canopy that also looks like a good fit if it is put in lengthwise in the tunnel ( the connectors would be the perfect length ).

Where is the correct location for the batt please ?

( if we may use the "tunnel" it would allow for a battery longer than the stock 98mm battery ).

I did a search in this thread, could not find this addressed.
Thanks in advance, Tim in Oakland.

parkzone released a new Corsair

which likely means a new updated T28 is in the works

hopefully with flaps and retracts

a scale like h stab and more detailing.
