Balsa USA 1/6 Scale Pup Finally Flying!
I would have posted this on the WWI Anyone thread, but that seems to have been closed.
I got the Balsa USA 1/6 scale Pup kit for my birthday back in 2010.
The Main frame work got done inside of a month and most of the covering, but then I got distracted with other builds and it's taken me this long to get it finished...
Well, today the weather was SUPERB! Sunny with light breezes.
So I dragged It into the car and down to the field and filled the tank (the OS 52 Surpass has not run for three years) and warmed it up. Driving a 12 x 6 she chugged along OK.
After a break and a few other things happening at the club, my buddy Jon put her to the test.
And climbing out
And Approaching for a smooth landing.
Also today, Jon was recently GIVEN this spectacular Fokker DVII (1/4 Scale) of mysterious provenance. He replaced the 90 two stroke that was in it with a Saito 120. He is VERY happy with it!
Now all we need is a couple of Pilots.
