Great Plane!

see here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...ight=decathlon

I've flown this plane all summer in extreme wind. When everyone else was on the ground to scared to get their planes up, I was already flying.

weak point: the motor shafts. I replaced the motor with a towerpro 2409 and bought a dozen shafts. Since i was flying in the wind all the time, i had some wild landings and the shafts just don't hold up.

Happy flying.

Hi,
I use 1300mah turnigy packs and get 10 minutes of flying time. I have 2200 packs for my Cessna and to fit those packs in there, you are going to have to cut out the entire middle section of the battery tray and then make a new battery door. You'll see what i mean when you get the plane. You'll get 20 minutes flight times with those.

Another think i did was that i purchased the wheels from a multiplex funcub and built a second landing gear for tall grass. The wheels are light foam and are huge!!!!

Hi,
No. the original motor in mine was a different brand that hobbyking didn't even sell. I found the 2409 had the same specs and changed to that once i bent the shaft on the original.
