HSG 5084MG Hz and voltage issues?
Did a search on HSG 5084 and 5084 with no results found.
I recently purchased two of these for tail useage on my Blade 400 and Blade 450. Both of these are FBL and electronics are power at 5V with external BECs.
Since purchasing these I have read several reports of early failure of these servos . Some state that they can not be used at 333 Hz. and many say they can not be used at 6V even though Hitec rates them for 333 Hz and 6V.
Spartan gyro data base suggest that 5V at 333 Hz is OK with thier gyros.
So it is safe to operate these at 333 Hz and at 5V , how about 333 and 6V?

I guess some questions are just doomed to go unanswered.
One would think that now that so many are using digitial servos in helis not only on the tail but also on ctclics that the manufactures would list both Pulse and Hz. for thier servos along with the more common specs.
As a long time Hitec customer I am disapointed that such info is not available for these servos.

If the gyro manufacturer list that they should work then we must assume that they have tested it. Unfortunately we cannot test with all gyros. The higher the voltage the more performance and current draw which can reduce the life in such a harsh application. We typically suggest no more thatn 270hz @ 6v.
